Shani Talmor Biography
Shani Talmor, born and raised in Israel, has traveled worldwide presenting her sensual and sexy Salsa style.
Trained in a variety of dance styles, including Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Samba and Afro-Cuban, Shani is an energetic and explosive dancer. She is world-renowned for her unique, sensuous styling and body movement on and off the dance floor. She has powerful stage presence and a passionate love for teaching.
Shani is certified in Simonson Jazz Technique by Dance New Amsterdam; a graduate of the Intern Summer Program at Broadway Dance Center, NYC and she also completed a 3 month mentorship program directed by Dana Foglia, Los Angeles.
Shani specializes in NY Mambo ON2, LA style Salsa ON1, Cuban style, Ladies styling, Pachanga, Bachata, Afro-Cuban, Cha-Cha-Cha, Samba and Latin Jazz.
Shani started her way in the dance world in the age of 7 dancing jazz and ballet at "Dance Alma & Arnon" studios in Israel directed by Alma Frankfurt and Arnon Zucker.
She performed on TV shows and many local events with the studio company till the age of 18 when she was exposed to Latin dance and culture. She began establishing her name in the Latin world in Israel in 2000, as part of the Israeli Salsa Academy, "Latino Del Mundo" directed by Lior Petel and Ronen "Paco" Biran. Shani has been teaching and performing at Latin cultural events and TV shows in Israel.
In 2004, Shani moved to Spain to dance with world-renowned salsa dance company, "Imperio Azteca" directed by Johnny Vazquez and Ramon Morales. Shani became Johnny's permanent dance partner and the group's principal female dancer. She continues to be one of the most memorable former dancers in the company. The group and its members were voted "Best Group of the Year" by the Europe salsa community. In 2005, the group shifted its functions and activities to Italy. She performed most successfully with Johnny in numerous International and national salsa congresses, festivals and Latin associations throughout Europe for 3 years.
In 2007, Shani moved to NYC and became Ismael Otero’s dance partner (director of "Caribbean Soul Dance Co."). In addition, Shani was recruited by choreographer, Sekou McMiller, to join his Latin Jazz project “Proyecto Descarga” and became his principle dance partner.
In 2008, Shani founded and is the director of an All-female ladies styling performance team, “Shani’s Girls”, which has been performing successfully in Latin events over the USA.
In the end of 2010, Shani was asked to become the dance partner of "The Mambo King", Eddie Torres. Eddie and Shani have been traveling and performing successfully for 3.5 years to many salsa congresses and Latin events around the world.
In 2014, Shani moved to Los Angeles, CA and won 1st place at the "LA Top Salsa Female Competition".

- Signed with the talent agency "MSA" and in 2016 became a proud member of the Actor's Equity Association
- Performed with Pitbull, Marc Anthony, T-Pain and Ne-Yo on the NBC morning show
- Performed in Kat Deluna’s music video, "Dancing Tonight"
- Danced at Jennifer Lopez’s 40th Birthday Party Event, NYC
- Danced on the TV show “Mira Quien Baila”, “Sabado Gigante”, and on America’s Got Talent, ABC network
- Performed at Madison Square Garden’s "Noche Latina" at the Knicks Game
- Performed at Madonna’s "Smirnoff Lifestyle Exchange Project" showcase, NYC
Recently, Shani became an ensemble dancer in the Broadway show, "ON YOUR FEET" the life story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan in NYC.
